"The gun that won the West." 
This gun is a part of Americana and wartime history. Escalera considered these revolvers “works of art” in and of themselves which inspired him to capture them on canvas. With engraved ivory handles and gold inlays, Escalera recreates these revolvers in exhausting detail. A unique twist to the original piece is that Escalera chose to adhere the canvas directly on to a piece of wood. This piece is the only one with this type of application.
