An indigenous Indian from deep in the heart of Mexico. In many parts of Mexico, especially the more rural areas with a denser Indian population, strollers are non-existent. Instead a “Papoose” is more commonly seen and used. This piece depicts a loving mother carrying her little bundle of joy on her back. The baby seems not to have a “care in the world” as it should be.
